Who keeps the car key?

You choose: with Tranca e Leve a Chave (GRU and VCP, +20%) the key travels with you; with the Vaga VIP, the licensed valet keeps it. At Congonhas, the valet parks the car in the basement.

There are three situations, and the difference between them is who can move the car while you are traveling.

Tranca e Leve a Chave

You park in a spot near the front desk, lock the car and take the key with you on your trip (that is what Tranca e Leve a Chave means: lock and keep your key). Nobody accesses or moves the vehicle until you return. It costs 20% more than the spot rate and is available at Guarulhos and Viracopos. It is the choice of anyone who prefers the car to stay exactly as it was left — and it is made in the booking, as the spot type.

Vaga VIP and valet

With the Vaga VIP, the valet takes the car on arrival, parks it and keeps the key; when you land, the car is brought to you. The cost is a percentage on top of the rate, and the option exists at Guarulhos and Viracopos.

With valet at the boarding gate, the key also stays with the valet, who drives the car from the terminal to the parking lot and returns it when you land. On that stretch, the vehicle is covered by Newe's own insurance of R$ 700.000; in the spot, the Tokio Marine policy of R$ 1.000.000 applies. As a one-off service, this valet exists only at Guarulhos, via Valetina; at Congonhas and Viracopos, it is exclusive to Clube Bandeira Plus subscribers. Book at least 24 hours in advance.

Congonhas

At Congonhas all spots are in the underground garage of a commercial building, and a valet parks the car: the key stays at the location during your trip. Vaga VIP and Tranca e Leve a Chave do not exist at that location. Confins, which opens October 1, 2026, opens with covered and uncovered spots only.

In every situation, the car's condition is recorded with photos and a checklist at drop-off and checked at handover.
