Frequently asked question · Congonhas Airport (CGH)

Is it safe to leave the car for several days near Congonhas Airport?

Yes, off the street: at Bandeira Park CGH the car stays in a covered underground spot, with Tokio Marine insurance of R$ 1.000.000 per vehicle, cameras, license plate recognition and 24-hour patrols. There has never been a reported robbery at the location or in the tunnel.

Yes, as long as the car is not left on the street. At Bandeira Park Congonhas (CGH), it spends your trip in a covered spot in the underground garage of a commercial building, with Tokio Marine insurance of R$ 1.000.000 per vehicle included and 24-hour monitoring. There has never been a reported robbery at the location or along the tunnel to the terminal.

What protects the car while you travel

  • Insurance: a Tokio Marine policy of R$ 1.000.000 per vehicle, against robbery, theft and damage, included in the daily rate for the whole stay.
  • Cameras: Intelbras, with infrared and continuous recording.
  • License plate recognition (LPR): every plate is read automatically at the entrance.
  • 24-hour patrols, with the location open day and night.
  • Documented check-in: photos and a checklist of the car's condition on arrival, compared at handover.

Who keeps the key

At Congonhas the car is parked by a valet in the underground garage, and the key stays at the location during your trip. Tranca e Leve a Chave (lock and keep your key), where the key travels with you, exists only at Guarulhos and Viracopos. Clube Bandeira Plus subscribers can hand over and receive the car at the boarding gate; during the valet's drive, Newe insurance of R$ 700.000 applies.

Why not leave it on the street

On the street, the car has no insurance, no camera and no patrol; on a trip of several days, it is the option that costs the most when something goes wrong.

The track record

The network is family-run and self-managed, and has operated since December 2, 2005: in more than 20 years, zero robberies or thefts and 100% of claims resolved. On your return, the terminal is about 300 meters away: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., through the covered tunnel; outside those hours, via the pedestrian footbridge.
