How long does the shuttle take and how often does the van leave?
The ride takes up to 10 minutes; vans every 20–25 minutes; average wait of 12–13 minutes. The vans are air-conditioned Mercedes-Benz Sprinter XL.
The figures in the short answer are for Guarulhos, where the parking lot is 3.5 km from the airport. At Viracopos the ride is shorter, about 6 to 7 minutes, with the same van frequency. At Confins, which opens October 1, 2026, the route along the MG-010 to the terminal takes about 15 minutes.
The frequency does not change in the middle of the night: the vans keep leaving every 20–25 minutes, 24 hours a day, every day. That rhythm is what produces the average wait of 12–13 minutes — usually you arrive, check the car in and the next van is already leaving or close to it.
How to plan your arrival
Add up the vehicle check-in time, the wait for the van and the ride. The recommendation at Guarulhos and Viracopos is to arrive at the parking lot 30 to 45 minutes before the time you want to be at flight check-in; at Confins, 45 minutes, because of the longer ride. At Guarulhos, tell the front desk which terminal (1, 2 or 3) you are using — the van drops you at the right door.
On the way out, the sequence is: arrive, hand the car over for the documented check-in with photos and checklist, board the van. Nothing needs to be scheduled; the shuttle works by frequency, not by appointment.
On the way back
