Frequently asked question · Viracopos Airport (VCP)
How much does it cost to leave the car for a few hours at Viracopos Airport?
At Bandeira Park VCP, a few hours pay the 1-day rate, R$ 18,49 for an uncovered spot or R$ 22,19 for a covered one, because the charge is per 24-hour period. To just drop off or pick someone up, the terminal's own parking is more practical.
At Bandeira Park VCP there is no hourly charge: the daily rate is counted in 24-hour periods from the drop-off time. Leaving the car for 3 hours or for 20 hours costs the same, the 1-day rate: R$ 18,49 for an uncovered spot and R$ 22,19 for a covered one, with an online booking. Prices checked on .
When the daily rate makes sense
The daily rate pays off when the car sits for a good part of the day. A same-day trip by plane, flying out in the morning and back at night, fits in a single period, as long as you pick the car up before 24 hours have passed since drop-off. The free 24-hour shuttle and Tokio Marine insurance of R$ 1.000.000 per vehicle are included.
When the terminal's parking is better
To drop off a passenger, pick someone up at arrivals or make a quick stop, the terminal's own parking is the practical choice: you park next to the concourse and do not depend on a van. At Bandeira Park, the average wait for the van, 12–13 minutes, plus the ride, about 6 to 7 minutes, already add up to nearly 20 minutes each way, which does not pay off for a short stop. The official hourly rate is not reproduced here; check it at the entrance.
If the stop turns into a trip
When the car stays longer, the daily rate drops with the length of the stay. For an uncovered spot, it goes to R$ 13,31/day from 7 days, R$ 10,18/day from 17 days and R$ 7,98/day from 30 days. In a June 2026 check, the official Viracopos lots charged a flat rate, above that table at every length.
